Woodwork wonder
The French-Argentinian artist Pablo Reinoso shocases his work in Singapore.

"Excuse me, waiter, but my chair seems to be melting.” “Of course it does, sir – that chair was crafted by Pablo Reinoso.”
A renowned artist, designer and researcher who has seen his work showcased at international exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale, the Museum of Art and Design in New York, and Paris’ Pompidou Centre, Pablo Reinoso produces playful takes on sculpture using wood, slate, brass, marble and steel.
The French-Argentinian’s study of functionality results in wildly mutated objects such as mirrors, chairs, benches and garments.
The works provide a mind-boggling but aesthetically pleasing take on the everyday and will be on show in Southeast Asia for the first time from the middle of this month.
Pablo Reinoso: A Solo Exhibition opens as a fringe event of Art Stage Singapore before running from January 16 to March 3 at Art Plural Gallery in Singapore.
